About Me
In the late 90’s I stumbled across GeoCities and Angelfire, free website hosts which allowed you write and publish content about anything of interest. Building pages and designing layouts on Paint Shop Pro 4 and Microsoft FrontPage quickly became one of my favourite hobbies and I knew I had found my dream job.
This industry has changed a lot over the last 20 years. Soon after graduating everything we learned had evolved into something new. Trends shifted towards mobile-friendly layouts, old languages became obsolete and WordPress altered the landscape of web design. The best part of this job is that you can learn something new every single day and the resources to do so are unlimited.
My clients are typically small to medium sized businesses selling physical or virtual products and services. I was able to perform the tasks of multiple team members and worked with some very inspiring entrepreneurs. By the time we are done most feel comfortable enough to edit their own sites, review orders and manage the technical daily tasks associated with their business.
This career has allowed me to be a digital nomad and live all over the world but my home is on Vancouver Island in Canada. My black lab Saba keeps me active on the hiking trails and my hobbies include travel photography, reading, swimming, gaming, cooking and networking within the community.
